Summary

Alan Middleton first season in charge showed lots of promise in the beginning but soon faded away. The plus point was our first wins in the Scottish cup this century, beating Downfield Jnrs then Parkvale. Despite being tipped as promotion favourites by many, Broxburn failed to live up to the tag and finished as they did last season in 4th. One Key Player Stephen Payne left midway and Barry Craig missed half the season through a horror injury, but still finished top goalscorer.

At the end of the season, the old Pie-shed was demolished to make way for new changing rooms. Alan Middleton then left Broxburn to join Bathgate as number 2 and Broxburn appointed Steve Pittman as manager for 2009/2010.
