I thought it was a very good performance but you get nothing for that these days.

Dicov and Baird controlled the game in midfield and made experienced super league players look very ordinary, either of them were my vote for MOM. Jeffreys was also excellent up front but to sum up we really need to take our chances against super league teams and not switch off as we did badly for the two well taken goals.

If we perform like that in the league against west calder next week it will be a cricket score but have to start the game as we did on Saturday. We didnt start well at west calder last season and ended up getting gubbed.

Broxburn took the lead but still lost. It was a good performance and Mussleburgh will be thinking themselves fortunate to go through as the Superleague team looked flat for most of the game. We had most of the chances and hit the post twice and more than held our own today. If we can take this performance to Bonnyrigg in 2 weeks we will have a good chance of causing an upset. More importantly, we need 3 points against West Calder next week, C'mon the Brox!

Broxburn went ahead in the first half with Stuart Ritchie scoring from the 6 yard box. Spartans equalised in the second half. Broxburn had more of the chances and Douglas could of been a hero in the last minute but shot wide. It was dissapointing to come away with only a draw but the game could of went either way. Stuart Ritchie was my mom, he was outstanding today.

Also heard Barry Craig is back in training and not far from coming back.

This may be a bit late, (sobering up at last lol) but well done boys on a great game and a great day out. Malleys goal was overdue and we expect to see him score in every game now.

Here's a stat brought to my attention from John O'Donnell, Broxburn most wins in a row is 9, set by Billy Russell's team. I reckon Steve Pittman's team have got a good chance of at least equalising it. Though managerless Spartans will have more to prove now, I still think we can go 7 wins in a row. Come on the Brox!

i think we are getting a bit carried away with this geddis creature!! he is nothing short of a billybigtime who swans about thinking he is the monkeys nuts!! we brought on a 6feet 9 inchs !!!!! greek god lookalike he could easily carve out a career as a model aswell as top junior striker.he missed a couple of chance in recent weeks but he is getting himself into the right areas and also is a real handfull up front.i think he could be a 30 goals a season player for us with a bit of guidance from john jefferys because the big man has goals to score and plenty of pace to burn,he reminded me of a giraffe who runs like usain bolt!!!

Well deserved win yesterday, one of the better performances I have seen this season and the scoreline does not reflect how far on top Broxburn were yesterday.

Fortunately the appalling bottling it of the referee over a big decision did not cost us in the end.

After watching this guy for the last couple of weeks i believe we could have found a gem! If we can keep this guy fit and get him to lose a stone or too he could well guide the Brox to the league flag. His goals could prove invaluable over the next 6 months.

5 straight wins in a row! Well done boys. You can see how hard the players are trying to win, by the reactions of all the players just before half time, when things weren't going our way at Dunbar. An excellent worked second goal and a result that was deserved by the shift the team put in.

IMO if it was true, I hope he never pulls on a Broxburn shirt again and don't wish him well. If it goes wrong Dicov comes back with his confidence knocked. The loser in this situation is Broxburn Athletic. The club should never allow a first team player to go on trial to a rival club. Which is why I think this must be just a wind-up.

I have spoken with Alan today at work and can confirm that he has been given the opportunity of a trial through his brothers connections. He has requested time off in order to take part in this trial. I should say however that it's his brother Stevie and he has managed with quite alot of persuasion to secure a trial at Harthill Royal. I hope it goes well as his brother is still highly regarded there from his time as a player. Good luck Alan!

good win for use on saturday again, i was impressed with the teams performance, defence were shaky at times, midfield i thought were excellent ,and the two up front linked up very well and 2well taken goals by the number 7 not sure of his name, management must be happy at the moment aswell

Pretty lacklustre performance against poor opposition, with only geddes, dicov and young getting passmarks in my opinion. Geddes will get sharper and score goals at this level, and it must be worrying for the management that dicov is running past his own players most of the time to win tackles in midfield.

A win is a win though, and we maybe wouldve drawn or lost this game earlier in the season.

That was an entertaining game. We could of been so far in front though but for missed opportunities. Geddes is looking sharper and Dicov dug in well in Midfield This was the first time I've seen a female Referee and I've seen a lot worse male ones, so well done her. The main highlight was the homemade lentil soup, it felt like being back at at Albyn Park.

That's harsh Barneybear, I'm sure everyone is trying their best to put out as high quality team as possible, despite our financial constraints and being poorly supported. Expectations are always high at Broxburn but never realistic.

This still could be a successful season and successful teams always grow in support. Hopefully your not the last newguy this season, newguy.

im new to broxburn, moved up from england love my footie,came and watched ur junior team win 6 1 at the weekend use look like a good side i will prob come watch more,middle of the park was very strong and defence cruised throughout forward line looked good at times,and your goalie is a giant

Good result boys well done.

Dickov had his best game in a Brox shirt for me and was my MOM.

The guy Geddes who returned from injury should not have been playing, douglas scored last week and came on again and scored 2 goals. Geddes looks like he might be fit in time for Xmas and is too heavy, lazy and tries flicks all the time instead of holding the ball in.

Any update on Chics injury - he would be a big miss, wouldnt like to see broxburns answer to Filip Sebo(Gedes) up there with Dougs next week.

Pleasing scoreline and a promising but not yet sparkling display. The scoreline is a fair reflection of how far ahead Broxburn were today but Pumphie were rank rotten, how they are so far up the table is beyond me, they were rancid.

Good to see Geddes making his return from injury and deserved his goal. Could have had more but did look a wee touch off the pace a few times, no doubt due to his lay off. More encouraging signs although a bit scary at the back at times.
