Ralph Brand - He joined Broxburn Athletic in 1951 and moved to Glasgow Rangers in his fourth year here. With Rangers making 317 appearances, scoring
206 goals, he won the League championship 4 times, he won the Scottish cup 4 times, the league 4 cup times and appeared in Rangers
European Cup Winners cup final in 1961. In 1965 he was transferred to Manchester City and won the Second Division League championship
with them. He later joined Sunderland in 1967. Next he came back to Scotland to join Raith Rovers in 1969 and his last club was Hamilton
Academical before he retired in 1971. Ralph Brand also played for Scotland's national team winning 8 caps and scoring 8 goals.

Sam Cook - a defender who moved to Austrailia where he played with Alexander (VSL)
Billy Baxter - Centre half. Billy left Broxburn in 1960 to join Ipswich town. He played 409 games with them before moving to Hull City. He had a loan spell
at Watford and ended his playing days at Northampton town. Ipswich payed Broxburn Athletic £1,125 (almost £20,000 in todays money) when
Baxter moved to Hull as Broxburn agreed as part of the original transfer for 10% of the next transfer fee.
James Henderson - the Liverpool FC website, James was mentioned as moving to Broxburn Athletic in 1894! More information about James is blank but
after Broxburn he played with Edinburgh United.
Jimmy Conlin - Ended his career at Broxburn around 1913. He was the second player in history to be transferred for over £1,000 moving from Bradford
City to Mancester City. He later joined Airdrie but off the field problems with his drinking seen Jimmy put on the transfer list. There where
no shortages of clubs looking for his services but it was the nightlife in Broxburn that persuaded him to join here. Broxburn paid £200
which at the time was a lot of money. Sadly Jimmy was killed on 23 June 1917, aged 35. during the war in a British offensive at the third
Battle of Ypres. He has no known grave and is thus commemorated on the Nieuport memorial. He had 1 cap for England

Sandy Brown - A versatile defender. Born:- Grangemouth -24/03/1939 Joined in1956. Transferred from Broxburn to Patrick Thistle in 1957 with 150apps,
scoring 8. Then went onto Everton playing until 1971 with 208 appearances and 8 goals, but probably his most famous was an own goal vs
Liverpool in the year Everton won the league, it was spectactular in the extreme, so much so it is still shown in previews of Merseyside
derbies, and is a permanent feature on youtube!, he left Everton for Shrewsbury Town playing there in season 1971-2 making 21 apps. moved
on to Southport in July '72 until 1973 - scoring 2 goals in 17 appearances. injury ended his career.
Tommy Brownlee - Born :- Carnwath, 21/05/ 1935, Joined Walsall (sept 1956) - made 30 apps. scoring 14 goals, Joined York City(Dec. 1958 ) - made 9 apps.
scoring 2 goals, Joined Workington (June 1959) - made 25 apps. scoring 2 goals he then played non league for Netherfield Albion (Staffs.),
before stepping up once again to Bradford City(Jan.1965) where he made 25 apps. scoring 15 goals. left City at the end of that season so
in fact made quite an impact re. ratio of games to goals scored.! That appeared to be the end of his senior career.

Joined :- Cheltenham Town - 1955 (retired after 1 month),

Joined:- Barry Town (Wales) 1955 (no stats available)
Joined:- Portsmouth (his 6th club that year!) in Dec. 1955 ( never played in 1st team)
Joined :- Q.P.R. - June 1956
Joined:- Falkirk - 1958 - Reg. cancelled 31/01/1959
Joined:- St.Johnstone 1959 - reg. cancelled 11/03/1959
Joined :- Alloa Ath. 1959 - Freed 30/04/1959
He later returned to the lower grades and played for local side Strathbrock Welfare, now lives in Canada
Frank Donnachie - 'Donzo'. prolific goalscorer. and won several cup medals and 2 league championship medals before he went to Australia to join up with
Sam Cook in his last seasons before retiring and was top goalscorer there in 1975. He has long since moved back to Broxburn.
Jacki Kirkland - Captain who is pictured lifting the Coronation cup in the background
Andrew Brash - 10 years service with the club and modern day local hero. Blue nose Andrew joined his other boyhood heros from Armadale and played as Centre-half and Captain. Andrew's greatest moment was securing a league championship during the club's leanest times. He bowed out gracefully in 2007.
